The MXR Jail Guitar Doors Overdrive kicks out the rich jams reminiscent of two dimed-out 100-watt amp stacks. Johnny Wator of Daredevil Pedals (a student of the Wayne Kramer sound) combined his Drive-Bi Dual Gain Distortion with the MXR Micro Amp to design two separate gain stages, one cascading into the other. A single knob controls the outputs of both circuits, and as the volume is raised, more gain is fed from the first stage into the second. The EQ range is wide and balanced with all the definition you need to cut through a loud live mix with an unrestrained roar thick with harmonics. And it’s all passed the ultimate test—an early prototype of this pedal, delivered to an MC5 recording session, made it onto the album.  This pedal is limited to 500 units with a majority of it's proceeds going towards the non-profit, Jail Guitar Doors

Why is it called Jail Guitar Doors?

Jail Guitar Doors is a non-profit that empowers youth and adults impacted by incarceration through creative programs that support reentry, recovery and employment.  This organization was founded by Billy Bragg in 2007 in the UK.  The name Jail Guitar Doors comes from a song by The Clash which is about the imprisonment of Wayne Kramer of the MC5.  In 2009, Kramer teamed up with Bragg to bring the organization to the USA.  To make a donation to Jail Guitar Doors, visit jailguitardoors.org
